"Zero-point Connection?" We note that some authors have suggested that the modern interpretation of the vacuum state might constitute a resurgence of the abandoned idea of an "ether" which would permeate space (1.). Whether the overlaying of one or another model of space-time by some kind of approximate grid system could actually still leave it reference frame independent seems unclear (unless the nodes found in one reference frame differ from those in another). It appears to us that the current picture of the vacuum state as involving some kind of swarm of "virtual particle...

--Broader Conception?-- Returning to the subject mentioned in the first blog "Hypothetical Cosmos, Preliminary Analyses" under the heading "Possible Tests", and again dealt with at the beginning of the second blog, "Further Considerations", we examine objects on, or near the surface described by the region of space at a distance of about 2516.25 ly.secant(d), from the Sun, d the declination of the 'points' on the surface (ly= light years). This follows from the supposition that in an S.G.I. (Special Galilean ...

--Difficult Conundrum?-- Since the first publication of the last blog "Further Considerations", on August 3, I have been pleased to learn that there are other writers who at least believe the subject of alternate theories to Relativity is worthy of being addressed. Some of these do so critically (1.), and there are even at least a few who, inspite of the apparently large amounts of evidence claimed for relativity by its exponents, remain favorable to one or other alternate view. (2.) These theories, as far as I can tell, generally fall into two categories; first, those which involve 'a luminiferous ether', and second, 'emission theories' (1.), which inc...
